It’s hard to believe that a year ago on Saturday we were up way too late watching Parenthood and Star Trek when you asked me to be your girlfriend. From our very first date you’ve made me swoon. Whether it was our first date where you took me to the planetarium, my birthday when you took me to D.C., Baltimore, and Richmond, or the countless days/nights with the cats at the condo listening to you write beautiful music. You have been the constant example of love, joy, and selflessness I’d been searching for for nineteen years. You’ve taught me so much this past year, I can’t tell you how thankful I am for you, Rain Doll. You’re better than all of the cats, light rock songs, Friends episodes, KFC buckets, and sandwiches. You’re my best friend and the best nest to me. I love you.
